Which goods and services have more complaints? Yesterday, the Provincial Consumer Protection Committee announced statistics on the system's acceptance of complaints. In the first half of 2016, the province’s consumer protection committees at all levels received 5,765 consumer complaints and accepted 5,762 cases, involving a total of 17.8792 million yuan. Among them, among commodity complaints, the top five complaints are: automobiles and parts, communication products, food, clothing and shoes.
Automobiles and parts are one of the hardest hit areas for complaints. It is reported that there were 435 consumer complaints in the first half of the year, an increase of 16.27% compared with the same period last year.
"First of all, there are many quality problems. For example, the main components such as engine, gearbox, chassis, instrument panel, etc., have problems such as oil leakage, air leakage, unstable idle speed, and inaccurate dial within a short period of time. Consumers spend a lot of time. I don’t dare to use the products purchased by tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands." The person in charge of the Provincial Consumer Protection Committee said that the second is the after-sales service. Some 4S shops use some tricky parts in the maintenance process. The quality assurance of the original, main and subsidiary products varies greatly. In the process of car maintenance, the maintenance contract is not clearly marked, and it is difficult to protect the rights and interests of consumers."
When buying a car, the contract also has the problem of irregularities. For example, there are many preferential activities for the "zero rate" of car loan mortgages, but the "zero rate" of car loans is not equal to zero handling fees. Operators play down the latter's fees when selling cars, leading to car purchase disputes. In addition, the deposit is stipulated in the contract, and some consumers did not pay attention when signing the contract. Often, the deposit was turned into liquidated damages due to failure or incomplete performance of the contract.
In recent years, the interior odor of new cars has also become the focus of attention of car owners. Some new cars are suspected of excessive formaldehyde as a decorative material, which has also led to an increase in consumer complaints.
